Overnight, we had our first significant rainfall in I don't know how long. We definitely needed it! As the flowers in our backyard get in their final blooms of the year, I wandered out this morning to take some shots. There seemed to be an especially large flurry of activity around the lavender bush. While this "outing" was not as adventurous as taking pictures of government buildings, it wasn't much fun getting "buzzed" by the big bumble bee. But can I understand why there was so much fuss over these sweet smelling purple flowers. Tomorrow morning, I'll try to be a little more "daring" (yet lawful), but do my best to steer clear of the men/women in blue.

Morning after Rain
