My Day in Hell (ha ha ha, I meant “My Day as a Shopping Slave”... oops, goofed again... ha ha ha.)

It has been 3 years since Kim saw her parents, and 6 years since we last visited them in Ohio. They moved to the city of Mansfield shortly after Kim’s dad retired as a teacher out here in California. This week, Kim will take off for the Buckeye State to surprise her Mom and Dad for a long weekend visit, along with her brother and two nieces (no need to worry, chances are slim to none that they will read this blog before then). In preparation for the trip, we went shopping for clothes and other things. For those taking notes, our stops included Macy’s and JCPenney in the Vintage Faire Mall in Modesto, Carino’s to stuff our faces (my first time there... not bad), Kohl’s in Manteca, Ghirardelli’s Chocolate Outlet & Ice Cream Shop (gotta have dessert!) and finally, the new Target store in Lathrop. I’m not the best person to take to most stores, in fact, I can be a tad surly when forced beyond my shopping threshold (< 5 minutes). However, I think I behaved appropriately throughout most of the day today.
