No improvement at all over last week in the area of cooking meals at home. Kim did crock pot a delicious pot roast on Sunday, and we were able to grill some chicken on Tuesday. Unfortunately, in the days since our stir fry, our "restaurant tour" has run the gamut from Macaroni Grill to Sweet Tomatoes. Tonight, we topped it off with a quick run through the drive-thru at Carl's Jr., just so we could get home in time to watch the VP debate. Though not as bad as what Bill Maher termed a "sentence to nowhere", it was hard to stomach watching someone, who could possibly be our next VP, bring so little substance to the debate. Seeking more substance than the #17 meal (Carl's Catch), I grabbed my back-up dessert of choice (after ice cream of virtually any flavor)... a bowl of cereal. This week I'm polishing up a box of Honey Bunches of Oats - Honey Roasted... not the healthiest, but better than the other choice in the pantry (Lucky Charms... with the new Hourglass marshmallow charms - woo hoo!). Anyone want to debate what the best cereal of all-time is?
10/2/08 10:36pm edit: I'm actually polishing "off" a box of Honey Bunches of Oats. Don't know of anyone who would polish "up" a cereal box, unless a little OCD was an issue.

Mmm, Frosted Mini-Wheats gets my vote!! MadDog would vote for Captain Crunch. These days I lean toward any kind of granola mixed with yogurt and berries or bananas.
Had class tonight so i'm watching a rerun of the debate. I echo your sentiments. Exactly.
My go-to cereal is Honey Nut Cheerios but Raisin Bran Crunch is pretty tasty too -- and good for the system, if you know what I mean.
Interesting to hear your political views...must say that I'm going to be DVR'ing SNL to see what funny things they'll come up with. I hate politics in general, but at least this election has gotten people to pay attention!
I picture Tina Fey standing in front of a mirror practicing her wink and "you betcha!" line. . .
