Mother's Day 2008 • Go F.C. United!

What a fabulous treat it was to receive this picture (click on the photo for a larger image) from Jon & Tamie today, along with the story behind it! Pictured here is our niece, Marissa, along with her playoff-bound soccer team, F.C. United. For this Mother’s Day game, Marissa’s team raised $300 for the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation - and played in honor of present day cancer survivors, as well as, victims of cancer. F.C. United holds a banner that displays the names of those brave women - all just within their own circle of family and friends - who have battled this disease. It is always so heartwarming to see kids getting involved in worthwhile causes and making this world a better place to live! Way to go, Marissa & F.C. United - and best of luck in the playoffs!
