If it’s a Saturday during baseball season, and the A’s are in town, it's easy to guess where we’re at. Yup, at McAfee Coliseum in Oakland, watching the A’s. Coincidentally, promotional giveaways are a byproduct of attending these Saturday games. Calendars, seat cushions, posters, t-shirts, blankets, babushkas, tanning lotion, hats, balls - we’ve seen it all. The most popular giveaway, however, is the bobble head. For these giveaway games, if you want to receive one of these bouncing heads, you must arrive at the stadium at least 2 hours before game time, and then stand in a long line with a bunch of silly A’s fans (silly to me, as I’m not one of them). If you are not a baseball fan or someone who collects things as a hobby, you probably think that we are nuts and should be committed to an insane asylum. Well, you’re most probably right. Anyhow, meet Travis Buck. He is the latest addition to the ever-growing baseball-related paraphernalia collection in our house. You can meet his new friends in the short video below.
