Easy like Sunday morning.

These are the wonderful sounds that I awoke to this morning. I initially wanted to make reference to that old TV show, "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom", because the chorus of birds outside made me feel like I was in a jungle - just listen. (note: you may need to hit the "pause" button on the music player at the bottom of the page in order to hear all the racket.) But honestly, I would give anything for a few more "Sunday mornings" during the week. Not having to worry about getting up at a certain time, making sure the cat has enough food & water, rushing out the door and hoping I remember to bring all I need for the day, dealing with rush-hour traffic, etc. When I leave the house for school in the mornings, I don't even think I've consciously taken the time to listen for these birds - though I'll bet that they're smart enough not to start their day that early.
