The next time you're in town.....

Let's eat at Famous Dave's! Finally opened last week, Dave's (famousdaves.com) is the latest addition to the Tracy dining scene. With a rockin' country atmosphere, and an abundance of great food to boot, Famous Dave's falls into that category of restaurants where you need to arrive with a good appetite - bordering on starving. And even with this, you will still probably need to ask for the "doggie bag" - (And Stinky, don't even try to squeeze in that last wafer-thin, after dinner mint). While Dave's is more famous for their ribs, Kim had the BBQ Chicken and I settled on the Sweet & Sassy Salmon. The portions were absolutely humongous...... and delicious. But, our stomachs were further expanded, as they heaped on healthy helpings of the sides - yes, the "Famous Fries" are that good, and the cornbread muffins - mmmmmm! These days, Tracy seems to be attracting a better variety of restaurants - and what a relief that is, as I was really getting tired of those Whoppers and Happy Meals.
5/15/08 edit: Went in for another round of Famous Dave's grub tonight. Wanted to try a different dish - so I tried the Texas Beef Brisket sandwich. Would definitely have to recommend this choice - being the hot day that it was (100ยบ +), I wasn't about to stuff my face like I did the last time we were here. What I need now is some motivation to get back on that treadmill!
