Did some more research today in finding out how to (1) take pictures of the moon and (2) where to find a good nearby spot to see the moonrise. My aim was to find a remote area in Tracy this evening, where I could be far from the city lights. It ended up being quite a trek... but I think it was worth the trip.

Full Moon... a second chance.

Wow - nice! Where did you end up finding a place to take this picture?
Some unmarked road off of Patterson Pass. I'm pretty sure that I was still within the Tracy city limits.
