My Gingerbread High.

Today, Kim was running around with her head cut off. One of the things on her list of things to do today, was to bake gingerbread cookies for her students - which they will decorate tomorrow. It is no secret that I will do virtually anything for a cookie (yup, exposing my maturity level again.). This time of year, especially, I am totally mesmerized by the scent of gingerbread. This smell and the season just go hand-in-hand. So being the "good guy" that I am, I volunteered myself to make the cookies for her. I know what you're thinking... I have an ulterior motive for everything I do. Is that wrong? Anyways, while I was getting my high off the gingerbread, I did manage to document the process for you.

Oh yeah, almost forgot - luckily (he he he) I ended up making a few extra. Because of this, Kim was nice enough to let me keep a couple for myself. I must extend my apologies to the squeamish here - the cookie with his/her head missing is the result of the required taste test.

Yum! Those gingerbread boys look delish - no wonder one is missing a head! Will you come over next weekend and help me roll, cut and decorate??? I will let you feast on any and all leftovers :)

What Eric left out of his comment what what I use the gingerbread men for. First, my students decorate them but then they take a bite and we graph where everyone took their first bite. Eric's name would have gone under the head.
I would love to come help you roll, cut, and decorate, but I might be more of a hinderence than a help.
