Pyro Night #1 • Oakland A’s vs. Los Angeles Angels • McAfee Coliseum • Oakland, CA • 6.7.08

Tonight was "Pyro Night #1" at the Coliseum. Usually on this promotional night, the A's put on a solid fireworks show for their fans after the game. Unfortunately this evening, the program didn't seem as long or as interesting. Nevertheless, I used the event to play with my new camera and experiment with night photography. I really wasn't too pleased with the results, as all of the pictures came out way too shaky and overexposed. Luckily, I'll have other opportunities this year to fiddle around some more in trying to capture the "perfect" fireworks shot.

Despite my lousy picture-taking evening, I'm feeling much better than I did last night. Tonight, the A's lost their second game in a row to the Los Angeles Angels by a score of 5-3. This result doesn't explain my improved mood however. Next week, my favorite baseball team comes to the Bay Area. Yes, the Yankees will be making their only McAfee Coliseum appearance of the year, next Tuesday thru Thursday, and we will be there for the first two games. Go Yankees!

The A's are saving up their scoring for when the Yankees are here. And remember, the A's still have a better record than the Stankees, I mean Yankees. So, bring it on- Go A's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
