What to do with your Cicadas • Helpful Hint #1 • Feed it to your pet

Along the east coast of the U.S. presently, from their underground lairs, cicadas (Brood XIV) are emerging from their 17-year absence in droves to make their noisy presence known. If you are currently being invaded by these creatures, as a public service, I have done a little research to help you cope with their brief, yet raucous, stay.

Here is Helpful Hint #1 • Feed it to your pet.

Warning: Although cicadas are eaten by many around the world, it is possible to choke on these little critters. Another thing to consider is that some of these cicadas may have been zapped by pesticides, so it may be best if you and your pet found other items to snack on.
