While trying to avoid a confrontation with the vacuum cleaner - Pumpkin (seen here in an earlier video), moving like a "cat out of hell", ended up on the losing end of a nasty collision with a human nearly 10 days ago. Although she was moving around with an ugly looking limp, this didn't seem to deter her from going about her normal strenuous daily routines - you know... sleeping, eating, sleeping, jumping, sleeping, eating, sleeping, and so on. After 13 years of being a relatively healthy cat, it was difficult seeing our agile Pumpkin hopping up and down the stairs like a rabbit. So, it is a relief seeing her beginning to get her old strut back.
Slowly, but surely, she's getting there. Still half-cat, half-rabbit when going up the stairs sometimes - especially when she sees/hears that vacuum come out. Physically, I think she's going to be ok. Mentally, we may need to find a cat therapist to get her over this Hooverphobia.
