Why didn't I just install the faucet myself? Well, I installed the previous faucet 3-4 years ago. Last month, it started leaking and had become corroded. Thinking that I did something wrong with that installation, I called on the professionals to get it done right (and with a lot less profanity). After Jerry (the faucet installer) finished his work today, I asked him how long these faucets should last. Would you believe he said that they only last 3-4 years? (particularly in an area like ours, which has "hard" water.) I guess they don't make faucets like they used to...
