Although it was a bit on the chilly side, I thoroughly enjoyed my first Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco this evening. The costumes, characters and all the vibrant colors throughout were quite a sight. I'm trying to figure out why it took me so long to discover this exciting annual event!
Unfortunately, when I got home tonight and loaded all the pictures into the computer, my excitement quickly turned to discouragement. I have so much to learn about taking pictures - specifically of moving objects, and of events taking place after the sun goes down. Guess I'm going to have to study a little bit harder...

Nice colors and composition. The candid shots are the best. The low light photos came out decent, were you shooting wide open?
