If you are an Oakland A's fan, like Kim is, you will be absolutely floored by the positive tone of this post. By now, especially after what you've read and seen here this week, it is pretty apparent that I've reached my tolerance level in regards to attending these A's baseball games. And following Friday night's annihilation at the hands of these same Twins, I fully expected to see a similar result for this game, as well. However, to my surprise, the A's (now predominantly made up of inexperienced rookie players) hung in there tonight, keeping the game close throughout. In the bottom of the 9th inning, facing one of baseball's best pitchers, Oakland was able to pull off a very exciting (and improbable) come from behind victory over the Twins, 3-2. I usually dread these "Pyro Nights", because we have to stay at the Coliseum for about an hour after the game to see the fireworks, not to mention, having to fight through the hoards of people and cars in the parking lot who all leave at the same exact time. However, tonight, for some reason, it was different... I actually didn't mind all of that. In summary, I have to say that this was an enjoyable evening at the ballpark.
So, see Kim, I can say something positive about your team!

Note: *#%^&%*@%*@$%**!, I just checked the A's promotional schedule, and to my horror, there is one more of these "Pyro Nights" on September 19th, and guess what... we have tickets for that game too. Ahhhhhhhhhh, will this torture ever come to an end?!?!?!?!? Damn, almost stayed positive through an entire post.
